Leonard Jones

Principal

Bio

Dear Langston Hughes Academy,

My name is Leonard Jones and it is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new principal of Langston Hughes Academy. Hopefully this message finds you resting and rejuvenating from all the hard work that was put in last year. I am excited and looking forward to kick starting an amazing school year in August. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the students, community, and faculty and hope to be a great addition to what is already in place.

I come to you as a native of Stockton and recently an Assistant Principal at Lincoln High School. My education career began in Arkansas serving as a middle school Social Science  teacher. From there I relocated back to California to serve the community of San Jose as a teacher, student advisor, and Assistant Principal. I finally transitioned back to my hometown of Stockton California with a plethora of world knowledge and ready to give back to a community that has given me so much!

I wholeheartedly believe that great schools are the result of great teachers and communities. My primary goal is to continue to support the teachers of Langston Hughes Academy and to provide them with the tools they need to continue to be successful and help our children grow and prosper. Although this is my first principalship I pride myself in being a lifelong learner and plan to grow alongside the students, community, and faculty of Langston Hughes who deserve so much. I am humbled to have been chosen for this position and thrilled to be serving alongside you! Looking forward to learning, connecting, and building with the LHA staff.
