Morial Williams

Teacher, Humanities 6-8

Bio

Hailing from a galaxy far, far away, a long, long time ago, but somehow here in the present, Morial is a member of the soon-to-be world famous Humanities team at Langston Hughes Academy. He is currently a 7th grade English and History teacher at Langston Hughes Academy. He began his education career as a substitute teacher for the San Joaquin County Office of Education’s special and alternative ed programs. His educational journey accelerated in 2015, when he became an After School Intervention Program teacher at Langston Hughes Academy, before becoming a 7th grade Humanities teacher. He has been privileged to see the school continue to evolve in his time there, and looks forward to doing his part to continue the evolution.

He is a proud graduate of Lincoln High School and is both a native and lifelong resident of Stockton, CA. It is an extreme privilege to be working and teaching in his hometown, and helping it become the stellar city he knows it will be one day. Beyond simply teaching content and academic skills, Morial is extremely passionate about teaching life skills to students and helping them become well-rounded individuals, in addition to academic stalwarts. He is also ready and willing to teach the ways of the Jedi to any who are willing; and those who believe that we either do or do not, and that there is no try. He is blessed to have co-workers and students who are strong in the Force. Prior to becoming an educator, Morial earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from San Francisco State University. He is currently furthering his education as an educator at Teacher’s College of San Joaquin.
